About the Opportunity:
A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Lead Hand Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright to support the maintenance and reliability of plant equipment and infrastructure. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this hands-on leadership role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery while guiding maintenance staff and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance, equipment installations, alignments, and machinery overhauls.
- Coordinate maintenance activities, respond to equipment breakdowns, and ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Assist with long-term maintenance projects, scheduling, budgeting, and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and support the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Millwright or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machinery and industrial equipment.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems; PLC knowledge is considered an asset.
- Welding experience (MIG, gas, or electrode) is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently.

- 8 hour shift

- Overtime
Pay: $23.41-$44.07 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Markham, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
