Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Local AZ Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves operating commercial trucks within the local area, ensuring timely delivery of freight while maintaining safety and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in freight transportation, with additional skills in heavy equipment operation and automotive repair being a plus. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial AZ trucks within local routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight efficiently from warehouses to designated delivery points
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Load and unload freight, utilizing forklift or other heavy equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of freight and operation of heavy equipment
Qualifications
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and automotive repair is advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and vehicle maintenance
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a local route schedule
- Physical ability to load/unload freight, operate heavy equipment, and perform vehicle inspections as required

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
