Upper Deck Transport Inc. is looking for a Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join the team. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining of our fleet of company owned trucks and trailers.
Location: Ste. Agathe, MB
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7 am - 4 pm
Position Type: Full-time, permanent
Wage: Competitive (based on experience)
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks & trailers
- Perform certified safety inspections (preferred)
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe work environment
- Maintain detailed service records and document repairs accurately
Skills
Preference will be given to candidates who are able to perform CVIP inspections on trucks and trailers. Candidates willing to obtain the required certification/licensing are also encouraged to apply.
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Ability to complete certified safeties (preferred)
- Must have own tools
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements: lifting up to 75 lbs., working while kneeling, squatting, and crouching, and working at varying heights and in enclosed spaces
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
