Purpose of Position:
Beacon Heights ECS is a family centred early childhood services program supporting children with diverse developmental, behavioural, communication, and learning needs. Through individualized programming and interdisciplinary support, we help children build the skills they need to thrive in school and beyond.
We are seeking a highly motivated Community Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator to help expand Beacon Heights ECS's presence throughout Calgary. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining community partnerships, supporting outreach initiatives, coordinating referral relationships, and increasing awareness of our programs among families and professionals.
The ideal candidate is organized, relationship focused, proactive, and passionate about supporting children and families. This position combines community engagement, business development, partnership building, marketing support, and project coordination.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with psychologists, pediatricians, speech language pathologists, behavioural therapists, occupational therapists, family resource centres, and community organizations
- Research and identify new partnership, referral, and community engagement opportunities throughout Calgary
- Conduct outreach through email, phone, virtual meetings, and in person visits
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, presentations, tours, and lunch and learn opportunities
- Represent Beacon Heights ECS at community events, networking opportunities, family expos, and professional gatherings
- Maintain partnership, referral, and outreach databases
- Track leads, referrals, meetings, and partnership activities
- Coordinate follow up communications and relationship management activities
- Assist with the development and distribution of promotional materials and referral packages
- Support social media initiatives and community visibility campaigns
- Assist with website content updates, testimonials, and community engagement efforts
- Research and identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and community involvement
- Provide regular reports on outreach activities, referral sources, and partnership development
- Support enrollment growth initiatives through community engagement and relationship building
Position Requirements:
- Post secondary education in business, communications, marketing, education, human services, community development, psychology, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in community engagement, business development, marketing, relationship management, education, healthcare, or a related field
- Alberta driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- ELCC Level 1 Certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Comfortable networking, presenting, and representing the organization in professional settings
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to work independently
- Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM or database management systems is an asset
- Knowledge of Calgary's child development, education, healthcare, or community support sectors is considered an asset
