Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a real estate and property organization in Calgary , Alberta on a contract basis. This role is ideal for a senior-level AP professional with strong Yardi experience who can manage full-cycle accounts payable and support day-to-day financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, from invoice receipt through payment processing.
- Process and upload invoices in Yardi, ensuring accuracy and complete supporting documentation.
- Code development, corporate, and property-related invoices across multiple entities.
- Process electronic payments and cheque runs.
- Match invoices to work orders and supporting documentation in a non-PO environment.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors regarding billing inquiries and payment status.
- Support Yardi implementation activities, including payment setup and process improvements.
- Assist with accounts payable for multiple active developments and complex invoice processing.
Requirements:
- Experience managing full-cycle accounts payable in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Yardi, including invoice processing, coding, and payments.
- Experience coding invoices across multiple entities, properties, or cost centres.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and resolve account discrepancies.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of electronic payment processing and cheque preparation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
