Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Health Testing Technician to join our team. This role involves conducting advanced health assessments such as DEXA scans, VO2 Max testing, and Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) measurements. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in health sciences, excellent communication skills, and a basic understanding of medical terminology. Responsibilities
- Conduct DEXA scans to assess body composition with precision and care
- Perform VO2 Max testing to evaluate cardiovascular fitness levels
- Measure Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) using specialized equipment
- Prepare and calibrate testing devices prior to each session
- Explain procedures clearly to clients, ensuring comfort and understanding
- Maintain accurate records of test results and client data
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized testing environment
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing client flow as needed
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including infection control procedures
Skills
- Strong understanding of medical terminology is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with clients effectively
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate testing and data recording
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and protocols precisely
- Comfortable working with specialized health assessment equipment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated interest in health sciences or related fields is a plus
