Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a passion for the hospitality industry, and a proven ability to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role requires hands-on management of staff, bar operations, compliance, and overall performance, with a focus on creating a vibrant, high-energy atmosphere. Experience in hotel or nightlife environments is highly valued, along with a proven ability to revitalize and grow a bar scene.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate bar staff, including bartenders and servers, to ensure efficient and high-quality service
- Manage scheduling, staff performance, and day-to-day operations while fostering a positive team environment
- Lead recruitment efforts, including interviewing, hiring, and training new team members
- Ensure full compliance with liquor control regulations and LCB rules, including responsible service practices
- Oversee crowd control and maintain a safe, secure environment for both guests and staff
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly to enhance the guest experience
- Manage inventory, ordering, and proper storage of all beverage products
- Oversee product cost control, pricing strategies, and sales performance to maximize profitability
- Operate and manage POS systems (such as Micros POS), including cash handling and reporting
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation of the bar in line with hospitality standards
- Develop and implement sales and marketing initiatives to drive traffic and increase revenue
- Take a lead role in revitalizing and elevating the bar and nightlife experience
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in bar or nightlife management, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting
- Strong knowledge of liquor regulations, compliance standards, and responsible service
- Demonstrated ability in product cost control, sales tracking, and revenue growth
- Experience with POS systems (Micros preferred) and cash handling
- Strong leadership, team management, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable guest experiences
- Ability to manage high-volume environments, including crowd control and security awareness
- Experience in hiring, training, and developing staff
- Background in bartending or bar operations is highly preferred
- Proven success in revitalizing or growing a bar or nightlife operation is a strong asset
Pay: $4,000.00 per month
