The Role
Are you a detail-oriented professional with a background in healthcare administration? Golden Hearing & Balance Center is looking for a dedicated Front Desk Coordinator to be the face of our clinic.
While we appreciate all applications, preference will be given to candidates with direct experience in Audiology, ENT, or a specialized medical environment. We need someone who understands the nuances of hearing healthcare, from patient empathy to complex insurance billing.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Advocacy: Greet patients with warmth; act as the first point of contact for individuals with hearing and balance challenges.
- Clinical Coordination: Manage complex scheduling for audiologists and balance specialists.
- Medical Administration: Handle intake forms, physician referrals, and insurance verification (OHIP, third-party payers, etc.).
- Technical Support: Provide basic troubleshooting for hearing aids and guide patients through our service offerings.
- Records Management: Maintain high accuracy within our EMR system and ensure seamless billing/claims processing.
Qualifications (Strictly Required)
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a Medical Reception or Healthcare Admin role. Direct experience in a hearing clinic or ENT office is a significant advantage.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills; must be comfortable communicating with patients who have hearing loss (clear enunciation and patience).
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency in Practice Management Software and EMRs.
- Professionalism: A high degree of reliability and the ability to handle sensitive medical information with discretion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
