Summary
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team in West St. Paul. The successful candidate will prepare accurate project estimates, coordinate pricing with trades and suppliers, and help ensure projects stay within budget and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects
- Issue PO's and Align Trades
- Analyze blueprints and specifications to determine project requirements
- Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to gather necessary information
- Utilize Builder Trend and Bluebeam software or similar for accurate estimations
- Conduct negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
- Monitor project budgets and provide updates as needed
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals for potential projects
Qualifications
- Canadian Experience is a MUST (Minimum 3 years)
- Manitoba Experienced person is preferred
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials
- Proficiency in estimation software such as Builder Trend and Bluebeam or similar
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
- Familiarity with pricing strategies in the construction industry
- Relevant certifications or degrees in construction management or related fields are a plus
