Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our culinary team as a 1st Person in our busy restaurant. This role is ideal for someone passionate about food service, with a focus on serving guests, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by assisting in meal preparation, ensuring proper food handling, and providing excellent customer service. Prior restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to the right candidate.
Duties
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Assist with food preparation, including basic cooking and assembling dishes
- Ensure all food handling complies with safety and sanitation standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas throughout shifts
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency and quality
- Support the team in meal assembly and plating as needed
- Help manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies
- Provide attentive service to guests, addressing their needs promptly and courteously
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and company policies
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with food handling, meal preparation, and basic cooking skills is advantageous
