Job Description
As a labourer, you will take direction from and assist the crew foreman with facility and pipeline maintenance tasks, including rigging and hoisting, trenching, unloading and moving materials, working in a high traffic area, working with welders, firewatch, manwatch, etc., provide general clean up and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of work area and act as a spotter and flagger for heavy equipment operators when deemed necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements (not limited to):
- Previous oil & gas, mining construction and maintenance experience considered an asset but not necessary
- Ability to follow direction and attention to detail
- Must follow industry and company polices, safe work practices & procedures
- Team player
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, labour-intensive environment
- Must be willing to work outdoors in fluctuating climates (hot, cold, wet) and environmental conditions
- Valid Safety and/or Operator Tickets an asset (i.e.: H2S Alive, CSTS, OSSA Fall Protection, OSSA Confined Space and Standard First Aid with CPR, Skid Steer Operator Certificate, etc.)
- Be willing to work evenings, weekends, and overtime when necessary
Training Requirements (not limited to) – training will be provided if necessary
- WHMIS 2015
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods
- CSTS
- H2S Alive
- First Aid with CPR considered an asset
