WHAT THE ROLE IS ALL ABOUT!
The Rock Truck Operator, reporting directly to the Site Foreman, will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of both articulated and rigid-framed rock trucks. Primary duties include transporting materials such as rock, gravel, and other aggregate to various locations on the job site. The Rock Truck Operator will also be tasked with performing routine maintenance and inspections on the truck to ensure its optimal performance. This is a field-based position that will work on a rotational schedule where camp accommodations are provided. This role will be based out of Northern Ontario and/or Northern Manitoba.
ESSENTIAL CONTRIBUTIONS WE NEED FROM YOU!
- Safely and efficiently operate articulated and rigid-frame rock trucks on various job sites.
- Perform daily pre-trip safety inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal working condition.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of construction equipment as necessary.
- Report all incidents, accidents, and near misses to the direct supervisor in a timely manner.
- Prioritize safety and follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU A POSITIVE IMPACT?
- Previous experience operating rock trucks is an asset; training will be provided.
- Experience in civil earthworks or mining is preferred but not mandatory.
- Willingness and ability to work both day and night shifts as required.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Willing and able to work in variable weather conditions.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug and alcohol screening as well as a criminal background check.
