We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Pro Shop Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing tee time check-ins, handling phone inquiries, retail sales, food and beverage service (including alcohol), and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and book tee times
- Check golfers in for their scheduled tee times efficiently
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) system for retail and service transactions
- Sell pro shop merchandise including apparel, accessories, and equipment
- Prepare and serve food items according to menu offerings
- Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly in accordance with regulations
- Verify ID and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pro shop and food prep areas
- Restock inventory and monitor product levels
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Provide general information about the course, events, and services
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service or retail experience preferred
- Basic food handling experience (or willingness to learn)
- Valid Smart Serve certification (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable handling cash and electronic payments
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Knowledge of golf is an asset but not required
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work throughout the fall till End of October
- Flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and early mornings
