Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM & Friday:
7:30 AM - 2:45 PM
Duration of Position: Starts Immediately and is subject to a 6-month probationary period

ABOUT THE POSITION: Grasslands Public Schools is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our skilled maintenance team. This role requires a conscientious, responsible, and hard-working individual who can perform general building, grounds, and equipment maintenance across multiple school sites.
This position will start Immediately and is subject to a 6-month probationary period.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Perform general repairs (carpentry, painting, playground equipment, cabinetry, safety equipment, desks, etc.)
-
Perform grounds maintenance, including mowing and snow removal
-
Monitor inventory levels and advise the Manager of Facilities and Maintenance
-
Purchase, transport, and store materials efficiently
-
Monitor inventory levels and advise the Manager of Facilities and Maintenance
- Maintain preventative maintenance systems and recommend corrective measures
- Assist other trades and supervise seasonal or casual staff as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
-
High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary diploma in a relevant field preferred)

Minimum 2 years of experience in a related area preferred
-
Experience in carpentry, electrical, mechanical, painting, and grounds maintenance considered an asset

Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
