Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Person to keep our Group facilities, and grounds in excellent working condition.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in a well-kept property, responds quickly to repair needs, and can work independently while following safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform general repair and maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, and carpentry work
· Conduct routine inspections of the facility and equipment to identify and address issues before they escalate
· Handle minor installations such as shelving, cabinets, signage, and equipment assembly
· Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance requests from all departments
· Assist with setup and breakdown for dealership events and promotions
· Perform basic groundskeeping and exterior upkeep as needed (e.g., snow/ice management, minor landscaping touch-ups)
· Drive dealership-provided vehicle to run errands, pick up supplies, or attend to off-site tasks as required
· Report any safety hazards, incidents, or facility concerns promptly to management, including a written incident/event report when required
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety regulations
· Communicate effectively with staff, customers, and outside vendors/contractors
· Supervise or coordinate with outside contractors on larger repair projects as needed
· Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
· 5-10 years of experience in a maintenance, handyman, or facilities role
· Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks
· Ability to read and follow instructions,
· Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
· Excellent time-management and organizational skills
· Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
· Valid Ontario Driver's License (Class G) with a clean driving abstract
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/work for extended periods
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends
· Strong communication skills, including professional interaction with customers and vendors
· Clear Police Reference Check
· Proficiency with basic computer tools (e.g., Microsoft Office) for logging work orders or reports is an asset
