Summer Term Position (Potential for Full-Time Employment)
We are seeking a motivated individual for a summer term position. This role has the potential to transition into a full-time permanent position based on performance, business needs, and mutual fit.
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate to join our operations team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The successful candidate will support daily warehouse activities including material handling, order picking, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and safe operation of warehouse equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, and store products and materials safely and efficiently
- Pick and prepare customer orders according to shipping schedules
- Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other warehouse equipment safely
- Perform receiving inspections and verify incoming shipments against packing slips
- Package and stage materials for shipment
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards
- Assist with cutting, banding, or processing steel materials as required
- Follow company procedures, workplace safety policies, and safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, production, and logistics teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math and inventory tracking abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Working Conditions
- Indoor warehouse
- Exposure to heavy machinery, steel materials, dust, and varying temperatures
- Standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive physical activity required
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) mandatory
