Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Telecommunications Jetting Technician to join our team. This role involves performing specialized jetting operations to install, maintain, and repair telecommunication infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of network infrastructure, low voltage systems, and telecommunication technologies, with the ability to operate various equipment safely and efficiently. G licence required, preferably with clean record. Experience in jetting is a must
Duties
- Need to know how to work a jetting machine and compressor.
- Conduct jetting operations to install telecommunication cables and conduits, ensuring minimal disruption to existing infrastructure
- Inspect work sites regularly to ensure safety protocols are followed and work is completed according to industry standards
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including materials used and project progress
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to telecommunication systems and infrastructure
Skills
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure installation and maintenance procedures
- Familiarity with trenching, cable pulling, conduit installation, and underground utility work
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and blueprints related to telecommunications projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in high-pressure environments
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and ensuring safety compliance
