We are seeking an experienced and passionate Location Manager / Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our adult day program and overnight respite camp located in Springwater, Ontario.
This leadership position is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred services while maintaining compliance with MCCSS standards, supporting staff, developing engaging programming, and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for the individuals we support.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of Ontario's developmental services sector and experience managing residential or community-based programs for adults with developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the day program and overnight respite camp.
- Supervise, mentor, schedule, and support front-line staff and supervisors.
- Ensure all services are delivered in accordance with MCCSS regulations, policies, and quality assurance measures.
- Maintain compliance with Serious Occurrence Reporting requirements, documentation standards, and ministry expectations.
- Manage Passport funding administration, including PassportOne billing and documentation.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate meaningful recreational, life skills, and community-based programming.
- Ensure person-centred planning is reflected in all programming and supports.
- Coordinate admissions, intakes, assessments, and ongoing service planning.
- Promote a positive team culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor budgets, supplies, and operational needs.
- Build positive relationships with families, community partners, funding agencies, and external professionals.
- Participate in the on-call rotation as required.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements, medication practices, and organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience within developmental services.
- Previous experience managing a group home or similar residential program.
- Direct experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities.
- Thorough knowledge of MCCSS regulations, Quality Assurance Measures, Serious Occurrence Reporting, and ministry compliance requirements.
- Experience with Passport funding administration and PassportOne billing.
- Demonstrated experience creating, implementing, and evaluating individualized and group-based programs.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
- Valid Class G driver's licence with a clean driving record.
Assets
- Behaviour management training and experience implementing behaviour support plans.
- CPI, SMG or equivalent crisis intervention certification.
- Knowledge of Dual Diagnosis, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and mental health supports.
- Experience managing respite, day programs, or recreational services.
Required Certifications
- Experience supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs.
- Valid First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain).
- Vulnerable Sector Check satisfactory to the employer.
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence.
