Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This position involves planning and implementing educational activities, supporting children's developmental needs, and collaborating with families and staff to promote positive learning experiences. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued, along with experience working with children and individuals with disabilities. The Registered Early Childhood Educator will be instrumental in creating an inclusive classroom that encourages growth, exploration, and learning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to child development.
- Maintain detailed records of children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities, share best practices, and ensure consistency in program delivery.
- Adhere to all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies.
- Use computer skills for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding less experienced staff or interns when necessary.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently through excellent organizational skills and time management.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or similar environments.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is preferred.
- Classroom experience that demonstrates the ability to manage group activities effectively.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is highly desirable to support diverse populations.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, families, and team members.
- Familiarity with computer operation for documentation and communication tasks.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities along with excellent organizational skills.
- Prior teaching or childcare experience that highlights creativity, patience, and adaptability is advantageous.

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
