We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Site Supervisor to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within scope, budget, and schedule. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a comprehensive understanding of construction management and technical drawings. As a key team member, you will coordinate subcontractors, manage daily site operations, enforce safety regulations, and maintain high standards of quality control to deliver successful project outcomes.
Duties
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and crew members to optimize productivity and workflow
- Review and interpret construction drawings, architectural plans, technical specifications, and blueprints to ensure accurate implementation
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
- Monitor progress against project milestones, adjusting schedules as needed to meet deadlines
- Enforce WorkSafe BC standards and federal construction safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Conduct quality control inspections and oversee construction safety management practices
- Review contracts, change orders, and manage contractual obligations with clients and vendors
- Supervise team members by providing guidance, performance feedback, and managing crew management responsibilities
- Maintain complete confidentiality of company information
- Complete tasks on a needed basis including but not limited too small adjustments of work in development project
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site supervision
- Ability to understand blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, construction scheduling coordination, and managing teams in a construction management role
- Familiarity with WorkSafe BC standards and federal construction safety regulations
- Hands-on experience with construction drawing review and quality control procedures
- Excellent managerial communication skills for supervising crews
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety management practices with the ability to be hands on if needed
- Knowledge of construction regulations relevant to residential projects
- Ability to work select weekends, but M-F is expectation
- Proficient English speaking
Pay: $27.78-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
