Qualifications – Northern Ontario Healthcare Facility
- Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Hospital Supervisor experience required
- Current CTAS, TNCC, ACLS,
- Critical Care course required if ICU trained
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: 3 months with possibility of extension
- Must be available to work full-time hours (up to 20 shifts in a 6-week scheduling period)
- Must be able to commit to the full duration of the contract
- Experience supporting acute care hospital operations, staffing coordination, and emergency response required

Responsibilities:
Hospital Supervisors are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Oversee daily hospital operations and provide leadership during assigned shifts
- Coordinate staffing levels, scheduling adjustments, and resource allocation across departments
- Support clinical teams with escalations, patient flow, and urgent operational needs
- Respond to emergencies and ensure appropriate protocols are followed
- Collaborate with physicians, managers, and interdisciplinary teams to maintain quality patient care
- Maintain accurate incident reports, staffing records, and operational documentation
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.
Experience:
- 2+ years of recent Canadian Hospital Supervisor experience required
- Previous experience in acute care, emergency, or critical care environments considered an asset
- Familiarity with hospital documentation systems such as Meditech or similar EHR platforms is an asset
- Ability to work independently and lead teams in high-pressure situations
- Strong clinical judgment, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills
