We are looking to fill the position of Slopeside Cafe Barista at Fernie Alpine Resort. The ideal candidate will be a master multi-tasker excelling in a fast-paced environment and creating engaging interactions from first-time visitors to loyal regulars. You Will:

Ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff

Assist and upsell guests at every opportunity

Maintain policies and procedures of RCR and Safety Management Program

Ensure a clean and safe environment by following proper HACCP procedures
-
Follow proper rotation procedures (FIFO)
-
Ensure proper portioning for consistent presentation with minimal waste
-
Restock the area as necessary
-
Follow Starbucks systems and recipes
-
Perform daily cleaning duties
-
Upsell menu items
-
Sell alcoholic beverages
-
Take food orders from guests and plating them
-
Assist in dishwashing and garbage removal
-
Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook

Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
-
Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs

Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
You Have:

Organization skills, communication skills, team player

‘Barista’ certificate preferred
-
‘Food Safe’ certificate an asset
-
‘Serving it Right’ certification required
Compensation and Benefits:-
Competitive wage: $19.00/hour
