Position Title: Industrial Grout Technician
Reports To: Field Supervisor/Manager
Pay Type: Hourly
Wage Rates: $25-40
*Please note, wage will be reflective of experience and skills
Hours: Shift Work – 40+ hours per week
Monday to Friday – First 8 hours are regular time
Monday to Friday – Next 4 hours are 1.5x
Monday to Friday – Remaining hours are 2x
Saturday and Sunday – All 2x
Statuary Holidays - All 3x
About the Role:
Octo is growing, and we are looking to add skilled Industrial Grout Technician(s) with extensive experience in the application of Epoxy/Cementitious Grout to our team. As our workload continues to expand, we are seeking motivated, safety-focused Grouters to join our field crews.
If you take pride in precision, workmanship, and maintaining the highest safety standards, we want to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with grouting applications, along with a background in civil construction, concrete work, or related trades. This role involves working on a variety of construction and industrial projects requiring precision, safety, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform epoxy/cementitious grout installation and finishing for civil and industrial projects
- Mix, place, and apply epoxy/cementitious grout materials according to specifications
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Read and follow site drawings and instructions
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Work effectively with site supervisors and crew members
- Perform various other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience with grouting systems and applications
- Background in civil construction and/or concrete work preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Familiarity with construction safety procedures
- Valid driver’s license considered an asset
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
