Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Gas Bar Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service at the fuel station, assist customers with their needs, and ensure smooth daily operations. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or cashiering are considered assets. The Gas Bar Attendant will play a key role in creating a positive customer experience while maintaining safety and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling vehicles efficiently and safely
- Operate POS systems for cash handling, processing payments accurately
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and upselling products such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas station area, including fuel pumps, convenience store, and surrounding premises
- Conduct product demos or promotional activities when applicable
- Manage inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy and integrity
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations during fueling operations
- Assist customers with questions about products or services using effective communication skills
- Perform basic math calculations for transactions and sales reporting
Skills
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or cashiering preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly attitude
- Ability to upsell products through effective sales techniques
