Reporting hierarchically to the Director of IT Operations and Information Security, and functionally to the Enterprise Architect for architecture direction, principles, and standards, the Solution Architect plays a central role in the design and evolution of technology solutions that support Pomerleau’s digital strategy. The incumbent acts as the primary architecture lead for an initiative, from ideation through production deployment, balancing business needs, technological constraints, costs, risks, security requirements, and solution scalability.
This role is intended for a seasoned professional capable of operating in a complex, multi-site, and multidisciplinary environment, and influencing strategic decisions related to business platforms (ERP, construction site platforms, BIM/VDC environments), data and analytics platforms, as well as enterprise-wide integration and API layers.
The incumbent serves as the architectural reference for delivery teams and works closely with the Enterprise Architect, Data Architects, Cybersecurity leaders, Infrastructure Engineering teams, Business Analysts, and Development teams. They contribute to the evolution of Pomerleau’s enterprise architecture standards and principles under the coordination of the IT Architecture Committee, ensuring alignment with the broader Canada-wide IT strategic direction.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the digital transformation of a rapidly growing organization, where rigor, collaboration, and business value creation are at the heart of its priorities.
