Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Mover/Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting and assisting with the movement of food products, food and vending machine equipment while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, commercial driving, and heavy lifting, ensuring safe and efficient deliveries and relocations.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport items to designated locations
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as floor jacks when necessary
- Ensure all items are secured properly during transit to prevent damage
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients during pickups and deliveries
- Assist with moving equipment within client premises or warehouses
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and work area
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
Skills
- Experience in moving, warehouse operations, or related fields is preferred
- Ability to operate floor jacks, hand carts, electric stair climbers and other material handling equipment is a plus
- Strong communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members
- Heavy lifting capability to handle bulky or heavy items safely
- Excellent customer service skills to ensure a positive experience for clients
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), Class 3 or equivalent is highly desirable
- Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various environments
- Effective time management skills for scheduling and route planning
- Experience in the delivery and handling of perishable refrigerated food products to businesses required
Pay: $21.50-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
