Contract Position – Hybrid
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Development, this role is responsible for supporting the members and activities of the firm-wide Business Development (BD) Team. The Business Development Coordinator will support firm-wide BD initiatives, including practice and industry group activities, partnership management, sponsorships, events, and marketing efforts.
Hours of work are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. Occasional pre-authorized overtime may be required to meet business and client needs. This is a hybrid role, with in‑office attendance required on an as‑needed basis.
This position is a 6-month contract opportunity.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support partnership management through relationship tracking, follow-ups, and performance reporting to help maximize sponsorship value and deliverables.
- Assist in the development of pitches, proposals, and marketing materials.
- Contribute to ranking submissions and coordinate related research or interview requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on BD projects, including market research, competitive analysis and outreach strategies.
- Support thought leadership initiatives and seminar series.
- Support lawyers to prepare them for business development meetings/trips.
- Coordinate deal collection efforts and maintain deal tracking system.
- Assist in tracking programming, revenue and expenses for reporting purposes.
- Leverage next gen CRM platform to track opportunities and relationships.
- Manage and execute updates to practice and industry group content on the firm website.
- Create and maintain calendars, event and matter trackers, and reports for events, matters, partnerships, and sponsorships.
- Assist with industry group memberships, renewals, and trade association analysis.
- Provide administrative and strategic support to improve BD team efficiency.
- Coordinate virtual and video conference meetings for BD and Industry and Practice Group stakeholders
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a partnership or matrix environment is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to changing deadlines.
- Proactive problem-solving and independent decision-making.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Professional, diplomatic, and confident in working with all levels of the firm.
Pay Range
$45,000 to $55,000 per annum. Pay range to be commensurate with experience.
