Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing and construction teams. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in various welding techniques, mechanical knowledge, and ability to interpret schematics will be essential to ensure high-quality craftsmanship. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, from and structural assemblies to custom fabrication, all while working in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and SMAW welding to join metal parts according to blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately to guide fabrication processes.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment safely for lifting and positioning heavy materials or assemblies.
- Measure materials with calipers and other precision tools to ensure accurate fabrication dimensions.
- Conduct quality inspections of welds and assemblies using basic math skills and inspection tools like calipers.
- Assist with machining tasks as needed, ensuring components meet specifications for manufacturing or construction projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in welding techniques such as MIG and SMAW welding within manufacturing or construction environments.
- Mechanical knowledge including familiarity with rigging, machining, schematics, blueprint reading, and assembly processes.
- Ability to operate plasma cutting tools, power tools, hand tools, and forklift equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of welding symbols, schematics, and technical drawings essential for precise fabrication work.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tolerances.
