Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to support kitchen operations during busy weekends
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by following proper handling procedures and cleaning protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient meal preparation and timely service during peak hours
- Handle food with care, demonstrating strong knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation
- Support catering events or special requests by preparing dishes that meet customer expectations
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and maintained properly, adhering to health regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a restaurant environment is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong culinary skills including knife proficiency, meal preparation, and food handling techniques
- Familiarity with food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and kitchen safety protocols
- Experience with menu planning, fine dining standards, or catering services is advantageous
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively within a fast-paced setting
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks during weekend shifts

Pay: $19.00-$21.50 per hour
