Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repairing and maintaining small engines, with experience in welding, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently, as well as preventative maintenance.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair small engines, including lawnmowers, line trimmers, blowers, and other power equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct small welding repairs as needed for structural or component fixes
- Work with heavy lifting equipment to handle large or heavy parts safely
- Test repaired equipment to confirm proper operation
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with small engines or related machinery
- Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and repair techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Mechanical knowledge of skid steer loaders and mini excavators is a plus but not necessary
- Automotive repair experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Must be able to work independently
- This is a part time position ideal for a semi-retired mechanic. Hours are flexible
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
