Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant to support our culinary team in a dynamic food service environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking to meet quality standards and presentation guidelines
- Support the food handling process, ensuring proper storage and sanitation practices
- Help with meal assembly and plating for service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils in accordance with food safety regulations
- Follow recipes and portion control instructions accurately
- Support the team during busy service periods by ensuring timely delivery of meals
- Adhere to all health and safety standards to promote a safe working environment
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock needs
Qualifications
- Prior experience in serving, food preparation, or food service is preferred but not required
- Can work on weekdays
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and food handling procedures
- Familiarity with restaurant or kitchen environments is a plus
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
