Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of high-quality patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient interactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinical environment. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Take dental radiographs using sensors
- Manage patient records accurately using Cleardent.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently, acting as a dental receptionist when needed
- Assist with pediatric patients by creating a welcoming environment and supporting their comfort during visits
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment to ensure safety and compliance with health standards
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program
- Proficiency with dental software including Cleardent & Tracker.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience in dental assisting or related roles is highly desirable
