Qimmiq is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate is hardworking, reliable, and passionate about working with dogs. They will be committed to providing exceptional care, ensuring the safety and well-being of our canine guests, and contributing to a positive and engaging daycare environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise dogs and interact with dogs in a group play environment
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all dogs in the facility
- Feed, walk, and provide water to dogs
- Clean and maintain daycare areas, picking up poop, changing straw in dog houses.
- Super cleaning kennels inside as dogs leave or make messes in their kennels.
- Maintaining the Property - shovelling snow, picking weeds dangerous to dogs, etc.
- Monitor dog behavior and report any concerns to management
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures for dogs
Skills & Qualifications
- Must have good physical stamina; able to walk, lift and stay on your feet for long hours
- Strong multi-tasking and time management abilities, in high energy environments.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Reliable, patient and compassionate when handling dogs.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with owners and co-workers.
*This job involves a lot of walking and being on your feet most of your shift. That is why you get a long lunch between your shift.
