Position Overview:
As an international freight Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the seamless execution of end-to-end operations for both air and ocean import and export shipments.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers.
Operational Oversight:
- Coordinate international ocean and air shipments, ensuring timely and accurate import/export processes.
- Liaise with carriers, customers, and customs brokers to arrange shipping schedules, documentation, and compliance.
- Full cycle order processing, ensuring that all loads are accurately received and entered in the TMS system.
- Ensures all required paperwork is accurately completed, electronically filed, and communicated to all necessary parties.
- Responsible for carrier communications, such as providing detailed pickup/delivery information, as well as managing any in-transit updates.
- Tracking shipments, ensuring accurate information is always available and communicated appropriately to customers and team members.
Proactive Problem Solving:
- Identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Communicate any problems such as delays, accidents, etc., immediately to the Sales Executives.
Professional Communication:
- Demonstrate professionalism, a positive attitude, exceptional email and telephone etiquette.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in freight forwarding operations.
- Basic knowledge of international shipping.
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems proactively.
- High level of professionalism and positive attitude.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: $60,159.00-$75,065.45 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Vaudreuil-Dorion, QC J7V 2N4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
