Estates Law Clerk
GGFI Law is seeking an Estates Law Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Estates Department and its lawyers by preparing legal documents, managing files, and ensuring smooth processes for our clients. Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Prepare Applications for Certificates of Appointment (with or without a Will);
- Complete Estate Information Returns;
- Draft and review estate, trust, guardian, and attorney accounts;
- Liquidate share assets;
- Complete reporting letters and other necessary correspondence;
- Assist in the preparation of Wills and Powers of Attorney;
- Handle digital file organization, scanning, and administrative tasks;
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Law clerk diploma, related legal education, or equivalent practical experience;
- Experience in estates law considered an asset;
- Great attention to detail and ability to proofread legal documents accurately;
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines;
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative;
- Excellent client service and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
