Job Summary
Join our team at All Green Tree Care Limited as an Arborist / Driver role, located in Halifax Regional Municipality.
You will be a core part in maintaining the health and safety of urban trees. This energetic position combines skilled tree care with efficient transportation, ensuring that trees and green spaces are properly managed, safe, and visually appealing. You will operate specialized equipment, assist with tree care and removal projects, and support arborist crews in executing their tasks with precision and care. Your proactive attitude and attention to detail will contribute to creating safe, beautiful environments for communities to enjoy.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive class 3 bucket trucks, chip trucks, and other specialized vehicles to travel to work sites, setup jobsites, and work to assist your team with the days tasks.
- Assist your team by setting up and utilizing rigging systems for tree climbing or removal operations, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Support landscape maintenance activities such as planting, mulching, and pruning to enhance the appearance and health of green spaces.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure safety standards are maintained; report any issues promptly.
- Help with site cleanup after work is completed, including debris removal and yard tidying.
- Contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to all safety guidelines, including proper rigging techniques and PPE usage.
- Work from 7:15am Monday - Friday with finish times varying based on weather and site requirements.
- Work overtime during storm events to take care of hazard trees Monday - Sunday
Skills
- Experience in commercial driving. Experience in arboriculture or outdoor work an asset.
- Ability to drive bucket trucks, and other class 3 commercial trucks confidently and safely.
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining a proactive approach to safety and efficiency.
- Equipment and vehicle maintenance and inspection experience.
A successful applicant will have :
- A valid Class 3 licence with a clean driving history and no restrictions or the ability to challenge the class 3 licensing examinations by having a full class 5 license.
- The ability to lift and carry 50lbs over rough terrain repeatedly in outdoor weather conditions.
- Clean criminal record / background check.
- References from previous employers or supervisors.- Free of drugs / substances.

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
