Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Bakery Clerk to join our team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their selections
- Prepare and package baked goods, ensuring proper food handling and safety standards are maintained
- Restock bakery displays and ensure products are fresh and appealing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including equipment and work surfaces
- Follow food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices at all times
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including slicing, packaging, and assembling baked goods
- Support the team during busy hours by providing excellent customer service and efficient service delivery
Skills
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food preparation, baking, and cooking techniques
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Basic knowledge of packaging baked goods for retail sale
- Kitchen experience within the food industry is advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
