Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, assist the dental team with various procedures, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Prior experience with dental software such as Dentrix, as well as familiarity with orthodontics and pediatrics, is highly valued.
Duties
- Provide chairside assistance during a wide range of dental procedures
- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms before, during, and after patient appointments
- Ensure compliance with current IPAC guidelines and office infection control protocols
- Perform instrument reprocessing, sterilization, packaging, and documentation
- Take digital radiographs and other diagnostic records as permitted under certification
- Maintain accurate clinical records and charting
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies
- Ensure operatories are fully stocked and organized
- Support dentists and the clinical team in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care
Skills
- Certification as a Dental Assistant
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of Ontario IPAC requirements and sterilization standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix) is considered an asset
- Prior experience as a dental assistant is preferred
Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-3pm
Salary: Based on experience and certification
