Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Journeyman Welder to join our team at Northwest Enclosures, a fast-growing company. This role is key for our recent expansion to the Eastern part of Canada, with a new facility located in Bolton, Ontario. With support from our team in Abbotsford, the right candidate will be a senior welder responsible for tank and enclosure welding and will help support junior welding and fabricator team members.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for fabricating and welding metal parts for the enclosures and fuel tanks
- Responsible for cutting, fitting, and welding with a variety of processes
- Responsible for reading drawings and performing quality control on the work completed
- Responsible for maintaining tools and equipment used in daily work for welding and fitting materials
- Assist with overseeing and training junior welders and fabricators with skills development
- Adhere to safety standards and procedures with continuously changing working environments
Qualifications
- Certificate of Qualification or Red Seal endorsement required (Completed A-Level or Level 3)
- Extensive experience with welding using a variety of processes, including MIG and TIG, and experience with different equipment types
- Effective organization and communication skills with coworkers in both verbal and written forms
- Experience with measuring tools and QC/QA equipment and methods
- Technical skills for interpreting construction methods and reading technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Ability to handle and manipulate sheet metal and move it between machines, off shelfs, and on to carts
- Ideal to have a basic understanding in Generator / Electrical House industry
Work Location & Hours:
In person for 40hrs a week at 151 Parr Blvd, Bolton, Ontario. Shifts will start as Monday-Friday, 8am to 4:30pm with a 30min unpaid lunch break. Future shifts will be Monday-Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm. Overtime may be available.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $38.00-$44.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
