Overview
Christian Addiction and Mental Health treatment center seeking a compassionate and dedicated Addictions Counsellor and biblical mentor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support and guidance to individuals struggling with addiction, helping them navigate recovery and develop sustainable coping strategies. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives within a supportive clinical environment. The Addictions Counsellor will deliver comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s needs,, providing individual, group and family counseling.
Duties
- Conduct individual and group counselling sessions focused on addiction and mental health and relapse prevention
- Provide biblical based spiritual guidance and prayer as required.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient assessments and ongoing progress
- Assist patients with case management, including coordinating referrals to specialized services.
- Collect and document data related to patient progress, treatment outcomes, and behavioral observations
- Provide education on addiction, mental health, and wellness strategies to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals such as physicians and social workers, when necessary
- Support patients in developing life skills and coping mechanisms to sustain long-term recovery
- Stay informed about current research, best practices, and advancements in addiction treatment
Experience
- Prior experience working with addiction
- Knowledge related to addiction and mental health
- Strong background in patient care, case management, and data collection is essential
- Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
Pay: $22.00-$40.00 per hour
