Your days will include:
- Developing an understanding of the business unit, its job and the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Ensuring job description and job posting is up to date
- Sourcing and recruiting candidates using a variety of outlets
- Developing targeting strategies to improve communications with candidates
- Conducting applicant pre-screen and screening as per established selection plan
- Scheduling interviews, preparing and advising candidates beforehand
- Conducting background screens and skill testing
- Managing applicant expectations through communication
- Supporting Manager with hiring decision
- Delivering employment offers and negotiations in accordance with company policy
- Administering and submitting all hiring, promotions, and transfer documents to payroll, orientation group, and benefits administrators
- Staying up to date with industry trends
- Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting of various recruitment metrics
- Conducting Wage Analysis reports
To succeed in this role, you must possess:
- 3+ years of related Talent Acquisition experience, preference in a manufacturing or consumer packaged goods company
- Experience using social media as a recruitment tool
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Prior working knowledge of ATS systems
- Solid customer service skills with focus on facilitating a pleasant experience for all job candidates
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to build and maintain positive and productive relationships
- Motivated and ambitious, results-driven and highly organized
- Human Resource Management Certificate or related
- CPHR designation is an asset
