Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and proficiency with various technical tools. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting audit processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Full-cycle bookkeeping (AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations)
- Manage job costing, WIP, and project-based accounting
- Track tooling, production, and program launch costs
- Support financial tracking related to PPAP and automotive programs
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
- Maintain general ledger and perform account reconciliations
- Process payroll and government remittances (HST, WSIB, source deductions)
- Monitor cash flow and job profitability
- Work with management on budgeting and cost control
Requirements (Must-Have)
- 2+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Experience with accounting software (Sage, ERP systems)
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll and tax regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role, with advanced knowledge of accounting software.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes is advantageous.
- Strong math skills essential for precise calculations and data analysis.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and prepare detailed reports.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
