About the Role
The Manager, Referral Services Operations is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of both the team and technical components of the service. This role acts as a key liaison between stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring that user needs are accurately prioritized, analyzed, and translated into effective system solutions. With a strong focus on patient-centered outcomes, the Manager, Referral Services Operations drives service effectiveness, fosters collaboration, and supports communication across public, clinical, and technical teams.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Director, Citizen and Referral Services, you will:
- Lead the strategic planning, development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the assigned program areas within the portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships while fostering effective collaboration with stakeholders across the province.
- Drive and manage change initiatives in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Develop and execute annual work plans that include clear objectives, timelines, and expected outcomes in partnership with stakeholders.
- Monitor processes, identify gaps and implement continuous improvements
- Establish and lead committees and working groups to support service planning, development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct data analysis and develop reports to support utilization management, quality assurance, demand and capacity planning, and overall service evaluation.
- Manage staffing and operating budgets, including preparation, monitoring, forecasting, and variance reporting
- Provide strong people leadership by setting clear performance expectations, supporting employee development, and fostering a culture of accountability through ongoing coaching, feedback, and formal performance evaluations.
