Job Summary
The Food Sanitation Cleaner is responsible for performing routine and deep cleaning within a food manufacturing and bakery production facility. This role supports food safety, quality, and production readiness by following established sanitation procedures, safety standards, and food compliance requirements. The position works under the direction of supervisors, team leads, and QA staff to ensure all production areas and equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and ready for operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, conveyors, packaging machines).
- Clean production areas including floors, walls, drains, and work surfaces.
- Follow sanitation procedures (SSOPs), HACCP, and GMP standards.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning when required.
- Ensure areas are clean and ready for production start-up.
- Complete sanitation logs and checklists accurately.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely (WHMIS compliance).
- Report safety issues, equipment damage, or sanitation concerns.
- Follow all PPE requirements (gloves, hairnets, safety gear).
Working Conditions
- Able to work in wet environments and around sanitation chemicals (with required PPE)
- Standing/walking for extended periods; repetitive motions; bending, lifting, pushing/pulling as required

Requirements
- Experience in cleaning, sanitation, or food production is an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Physically able to perform repetitive cleaning tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- WHMIS training is an asset.
Work Schedule Details:
- Monday to Friday, 11:30 PM to 6:00 AM
Pay: $19.00 per hour
