Experience:
7 months to less than 1 year of related experience in caregiving, home support, residential care, community support, or a related field.
Work Location:
Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work Setting:
- Employer's/client's home
- Residential support setting

Responsibilities:
- Administer bedside and personal care.
- Administer medications in accordance with care plans and company policies.
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers.
- Assist clients in water-based activities and recreational programs when required.
- Support clients with daily exercise, community participation, and recreational activities.
- Change non-sterile dressings as directed.
- Feed or assist clients with feeding.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks.
- Plan therapeutic diets and menus when required.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Launder clothing and household linens.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, behavioural challenges, and other support needs.
- Accompany clients to appointments, community activities, hiking, outdoor recreation, and other outings.
- Maintain accurate documentation and report changes in client condition.
- Support clients in achieving personal goals, independence, and quality of life.
Required Certifications:
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- MANDT System Training or willingness to obtain upon hire
Additional Requirements:
- Valid Criminal Record Check
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Ability to participate in community outings and physical activities
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures is an asset
