Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Truck Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, heavy equipment maintenance, and industrial machinery. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of trucks and heavy equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. Candidates with dealership experience, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with power and hand tools are highly encouraged to apply. The position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and more.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, heavy equipment, and industrial machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on vehicle systems.
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe work environment.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair guides.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or systems as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
Skills
- Proven mechanic experience with heavy-duty trucks and industrial equipment.
- Dealership experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including HVAC, electrical systems, and engine components.
- Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Heavy lifting capability and physical stamina for demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of automotive repair standards and safety procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Customer service skills for interactions with clients or internal teams when necessary. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of maintaining high standards of safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.
