The Role
We are seeking an experienced Red Seal Sheet Metal Worker to lead installation crews on major construction sites across Halifax and Dartmouth. If you thrive in a fast-paced field environment and enjoy the "puzzle" of high-end ductwork installation, we want to talk to you. You’ll be the lead on-site, ensuring our systems are installed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Installation: Expertly install commercial and residential ductwork, VAV boxes, and specialized ventilation systems.
- On-Site Leadership: Direct and mentor a crew of apprentices; manage workflow and quality control to keep projects on schedule.
- Plan Interpretation: Read and execute complex HVAC blueprints, coordinating effectively with other mechanical trades on-site.
- Precision Work: Perform on-site field measurements and modifications to ensure a perfect fit every time.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Certification: Must hold a valid Journeyperson Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) in Sheet Metal.
- Construction Experience: Strong background in commercial or industrial site work.
- Safety Oriented: Valid Fall Protection and Aerial Lift certifications (or willingness to renew).
- Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
