Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated On Call Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) to support our early childhood programs on an as-needed basis. This role involves providing quality care and educational support to young children, including those with disabilities, in a nurturing and safe environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible, compassionate, and experienced in working with children in educational or caregiving settings. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the development and well-being of children while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities and lesson plans tailored to young children’s developmental needs
- Support children with disabilities by providing individualized care and assistance as required
- Engage children in educational, recreational, and social activities that promote growth and learning
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children at all times
- Observe and document children's progress and behavior for reporting purposes
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff to support a collaborative community atmosphere
- Adhere to all safety protocols, licensing standards, and program policies
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children is preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Background in teaching or early childhood education is a plus
- Demonstrated caregiving skills and patience when working with children of diverse needs
- Familiarity with best practices in early childhood development and inclusive education
This position requires flexibility to work on an on-call basis, providing support during various shifts as needed. Candidates should be passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a positive learning environment for all children.
Pay: $24.00-$25.00 per hour
