Join our team as our new Communications and Outreach Coordinator and contribute to our vision—where responsible business comes to life through education and research. You will play a pivotal role in attracting and engaging the next generation of business leaders.
Reporting to the Manager of Marketing and Communications, this position leads and supports communications across the Hill Levene School of Business to ensure a consistent voice, tone, and alignment with institutional branding. As the Communications and Outreach Coordinator, you will play an integral role in advancing the Hill Levene School of Business’ strategic marketing and communications efforts. You will work closely with faculty, staff, students, and local business leaders to foster meaningful relationships, share success stories, and promote initiatives and events.
What You’ll Do
Strategic Communications & Brand Management
- Ensure the School’s visual identity and brand guidelines are consistently applied to the highest standards
- Lead internal communications within the University and support external communications efforts
- Identify gaps in promotional and reputational tools
Content Development & Storytelling
- Plan, develop, and execute storytelling initiatives from concept to distribution, including interviews, photography coordination, data gathering, writing, editing, and publishing
- Produce and manage key communications materials including newsletters, research highlights, recruitment content, and promotional pieces
Design, Visual Content & Creative Production
- Design and develop engaging visual content for social media, digital campaigns, website, and promotional materials (e.g., posters, ads, presentations, videos)
- Create and manage photography and videography briefs, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives and brand standards
- Coordinate and direct photo and video shoots with internal teams and external vendors
- Manage and maintain a centralized photo and video gallery, ensuring assets are organized, accessible, and aligned with brand usage
- Support the creation of video content for social media, website, and recruitment initiatives, including basic editing where required
Media Relations & Institutional Collaboration
- Collaborate with University Marketing and Communications (UCM) to support public relations and media engagement
- Assist in planning and delivering media events, including drafting media releases and supporting coverage of School initiatives
- Contribute to positioning the School in University-wide communications, including featured stories
Executive Communications Support

Conduct background research and develop briefing notes and speaking materials for the Dean and leadership team
Marketing, Advertising & Digital Communications
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns and advertising across multiple platforms (digital, social, print)
- Create and manage content for social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)
- Develop, write, and distribute email marketing campaigns (e.g., newsletters, announcements, alumni, event promotion, program promotion, recruitment emails), including audience segmentation, scheduling, and performance tracking
- Design and distribute marketing collateral aligned with campaign objectives
- Support content strategy, including content planning, paid ad placement, and performance tracking (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, engagement) and provide recommendations for optimization
Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, alumni, and community partners
- Promote events and initiatives that enhance engagement and strengthen the School’s presence in the community
- Support communications and promotion of experiential learning opportunities and industry partnerships

Position Requirements
What You’ll Bring to this Position:
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Communications or another related field with relevant experience
- 3–5 years of experience, preferably within a post-secondary or complex organizational environment
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt tone for diverse audiences
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities across multiple formats
- Ability to identify and promote stories that enhance the School’s reputation and impact
- Experience developing speaking notes and executive communications materials
- Ability to plan and support media relations activities, including media releases and events
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to develop and maintain contact lists
- Extensive proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Extensive proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere) and Canva
- Experience in creating visual content and managing design assets for digital and print
- Extensive proficiency in Social media ad placement, strategy, and analytics
- Knowledge of University policies, procedures and software
- Ability to gather, analyze, and translate data into meaningful reports
- Demonstrated attention to detail, ability to create content tailored to various target audiences
- Ability to solve complex problems individually and as part of a team
- Proven ability to successfully adapt to change
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, project-based work environment and handle multiple, concurrent and competing priorities;
- Ability to work proactively and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team environment

Pay Grade APT 3 Salary Range $62,088 - $83,816 annually Status Term Work Hours
8:15-4:30 Monday to Friday. Work outside of regular hours will be required on occasion for special events and initiatives.
