Position Overview:
We are currently seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse - Full time to deliver exceptional healthcare services in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will provide direct care, supervise nursing and personal support staff, and ensure adherence to clinical best practices and regulatory standards—all while consistently exceeding resident and family expectations.
What you will be doing?
- Deliver resident care in accordance with nursing standards, physicians’ orders, and facility policies.
- Observe, record, and report on residents’ conditions, symptoms, and vital signs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate resident care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Monitor residents’ health and respond to changes in condition, initiating physician referrals as needed.
- Administer medications and carry out physician orders accurately and safely.
- Lead, supervise, and evaluate the performance of nursing and personal care staff on the unit.
- Provide orientation and in-service training for new and existing staff.
- Support performance reviews and escalate concerns to the Director of Care as appropriate.
- Participate in RAI-MDS assessment preparation and documentation.
- Act as the facility lead in the absence of the Director of Care.
- Perform staff scheduling and replacement tasks as required.
Must haves
- Current, unencumbered registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- CPR/BCLS and ACLS certification
- Coronary Care 1 or equivalent
- Triage Assessment Course (or willingness to complete)
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification – Must Have
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario (RNAO)
- Experience working with cognitively impaired individuals is an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and working with the senior population
Job Types: Part-time, Casual
Pay: $39.00-$59.00 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License (required)
- 2 Steps TB (Tuberculosis) Test within 1 year (required)
- VSS (Vulnerable Sector Screening) within 6 months (required)
